Pioneer Village Museum

The Pioneer Village Museum is nestled in the pines one and a half miles west of Cameron, WI on Hwy. W (Museum Road). Once known as the "Pinery," Barron County was where Native Americans harvested wild rice, lumber barons amassed fortunes, and pioneers built farms and towns out of dreams. This 40 building museum, with an authentic 1880's village, allows you to step back in time and be part of those dreams.

Take a leisurely stroll down Pioneer Street, and you will encounter an early railroad depot, country school, dentist's office, doctor's office, jail, saloon, blacksmith shop, newspaper office, library, meeting house, general store, post office and the historic Ebenezer Lutheran Church.
